Dropbox is a great tool to keep your files in sync across multiple computers. This can be especially useful for data of specific applications. 1Password for example supports for its keychain to be placed in any folder, including the Dropbox. This way, you can even sync your passwords. But eventually, you will probably come across an application which places its data in a specific place and cannot be told otherwise. If you ever played one of the Diablo games and liked it, you probably came back to it at least on or two times over the years. Whether it is speaking to friends about playing the game back in the days or all the news about the upcoming Diablo 3 or just because you saw some other clone which made you want to play the original. One always has a good time continuing and old character or creating a new one.
Recently, I started a new Necromancer in Diablo 2 on the Battle.net. The great thing is, as long as you have an internet connection, you can take your character with you. All you need is a game client. It was great. It’s like a trip to the past and I had a lot of fun, almost like playing it for the first time. MacHeist just released another software bundle for Mac OS X. The bundle include six apps and is completely free. You just have to register and provide your email address. The generation of the serial keys currently takes quite a while due to the large amount of participants.
The bundle currently contains the apps Shovebox, WriteRoom, Twitterific, TinyGrab, Hordes of Orcs. Mariner Write will be unlocked once 500000 participants have signed up for the bundle.
Though I never intended to buy one of these apps I heard, they are quite popular. So this is the best chance to have a look into them.
The offer is open for another six days. So you better get over there and claim your bundle!
Warning! This post contains major spoilers! If you haven’t beaten the game yet but intend to do so at some point, you shouldn’t read any further!

And then, the lights go back on. And so do you. Continue reading »
